Dowsil™ Q3-1566 Silicone Glue & Sealant, Heat Resistant, 310ml
The Dowsil™ Q3-1566 is a highly heat resistant silicone adhesive suitable for the most demanding applications. Due to its unique chemical composition, the adhesive, unlike many other adhesives, can withstand a long-term working temperature of +235°C for 2 days, and a short-term temperature of +350°C.
The adhesive is also suitable for use as a sealant.

Applications

Dowsil™ Q3-1566 Silicone Glue & Sealant is suitable for:

repair
ovens, stovers and other heating equipment
automotive oil and other coolant sealing applications
sealing joints
making small shaped articles (for example for elastic hinges in model building)
coating of materials

Clean and degrease the material to be bonded beforehand with acetone.
Apply the adhesive on one side (approx. 1 mm thick).
Press the parts firmly together and let them rest under pressure (and without vibrations).
Remove excess adhesive immediately.
Let the glue harden for about 24 hours (preferably clamped in for example a mold or glue clamp).
After 8 hours, the material is hardened in such a way that it can be carefully removed from the mold.
